Minister of Foreign Affairs Pholile Shakantu and Minister Tambo Gina of Economic Planning and Development had a friendly meeting with Members of Parliament from Japan.

The meeting was on he sidelines of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) yesterday.

The Ministers were joined by Under Secretary Political, Vuli Kunene, to have friendly talks with the Japanese legislators who are members of the Japan-AU Parliamentary Friendship League.

The MPs who are in the House of Representatives included Mr. Nagai Manabu, Ms. Suzuki Takako, Mr. Waki Masakazu and Mr. Ozaki Masano.

The talks were in line with the strengthening of the friendly relations that exist between the two countries. It was also to discuss further cooperation in the area of developmental support, among other issues.
