Semi Tee & Kammu Dee for The Xchange – Afropunk event

The Xchange Lounge & Shisanyama is bringing the groove back with The Afropunk concept to kickstart on the 31st of October 2020. Afro: as in, born of African spirit and rhythm and color. Punk: as in, rebel, oppsosing the simple route, imbued with a DYI ethic, looking forward with simplicity, rawness and open curiosity.

Afropunk is defining culture by the collective creative actions of the individual and the group. It is a safe place, a blank space to freak out in, to construct a new reality, to live your life as you see fit, while making sense of the world around you.

This will be a monthly arts event that includes live music, fashion and art produced by black artists, however, the first edition will kick off in a different way, bringing the groove back with the “Abantwana bama Uber”hit makers Semi Tee & Kammu Dee. The first edition will be determined on how the audience respond to the concept. Early bird tickets will be very limited with only 100 tickets to be sold as of the 02nd of October 2020 till the 9th of October 2020 for only E100.00. Thereafter Pre-Sale tickets will also be made available for only E150.00. General or gate tickets will be sold for E250.00 and E400.00 for VIP.

We also have other surprise acts which will be performing including a fashion show with one of the best RSA fashion designer. One strict rule is, No mask no entry, as we will be practising safe majors during the event, as we are COVID19 compliant. It will be a day event suitable for family from 10am till late, food and drinks will also be sold including stalls for local brand and local tailors.
