Acting Prime Minister: ‘The Situation On the ground has stabilised’
These are the words uttered by APM Mr Themba Masuku, ensuring emaSwati that the country’s security forces have everything under control.
‘Peace and order has been restored in all regions of the country’ said the APM. It is very disturbing that the APM would ensure the nation of order being restored on the ground while pro-democracy protests are still in full force around the country.
The APM has further encouraged emaSwati to return back to work stating that returning back to work will drive the economy that has been set back by last weeks mayhem. It is worth remembering that emaSwati are still very much traumatised by the events that unfolded this past week at the hands of the country’s security forces.
Mr.Themba Masuku also alluded on the fast spreading Delta variant in our neighbouring countries, expressing that it is a call for concern. He has cautioned emaSwati to be safe and continue to comply to COVID-19 guidelines and regulations. It is worth mentioning that the APM did not utter anything on the deaths of innocent emaSwati at the hands of security forces nor mentioned the number of citizens that have been injured.
It is truly appalling that the APM did not spare a minute to comfort and offer his condolences to the families and the nation at large on the death of emaSwati during pro-democracy protests.
