More Jobs Lost as Hlathikhulu- Buy Cash Hardware Burnt Down

Hlathikhulu– Buy Cash Hardware belonging to Agriculture Minister “Buy-Cash” Mabuza was burnt down by unknown arsonists this afternoon.

The burning down of the hardware is believed to be associated with the anger some citizens have because of alleged police brutality. Others believe that the burning of Buy-Cash Hardware is associated with the arrest of MP Bacede who is a brother to the Minister. With all these speculations, the real motive behind the series of attacks against “Buy-Cash” remains unknown. Just recently the Minister suffered a loss of close to E90m due to arson and looting. Thousands of Emaswati have lost jobs as a result.

A reliable source to this publication related that there is allegedly a small group of protestors who have vowed to burn infrastructure associated with the current Government. They are using threats, intimidation and violence to garner support for Democratic reforms in the country.

Most Swazi’s have condemned this action and say it is counterproductive to economic growth and development with negative consequences to the ordinary Liswati. As the arson attacks continue, the situation is worsening on the ground. It is heartbreaking to see a lot of Swazis getting jobless hence increasing the rate of unemployment in Eswatini. The unemployment rate in the country is expected to reach 24 percent by the end of the year 2021, according to Trading Economic Global Micro models and analysts expectations.
