The Youth Alive Organization will be hosting a Youth Leadership Summit on the 9th of October with the aim of closing the leadership gap by empowering the Youth.
The Youth Leadership Summit is a leadership school that equips young people for success.
Statistics have shown that a large number of Eswatini youth are very talented and full of potential, but such talents are unfortunately wasted. Our unemployed youth are pushed to engage in criminal activities and find themselves in prison for misdemeanours because they end up channelling their energies into non-productive ventures.
The lack of entrepreneurial skills and opportunities prevent young people from living meaningful and productive lives. The summit will therefore raise awareness about potential ways the youth can be incorporated in the community and in the private sector.
The Youth Leadership Summit will encourage the youth to take leadership space in politics, education and business. Adults will be encouraged to use their adult power and privilege to make the community a better place for young people.
The Summit will also enable young people of Eswatini to set goals for themselves and stay committed to achieving their goals.
