His Majesty King Mswati III today officially opened the five storey referral hospital at the Mbabane Government Hospital. The new hospital wing replaces the old and dilapidated outpatient department that was demolished to give way to the new and modern hospital. The hospital is equipped with highly advanced medical equipment.
The opening of the referral hospital comes as a relief to many Emaswati that had to rely on the Phalala Fund for referrals to neighbouring South Africa. The state of the art emergency wing is also well equipped to save lives.
The hospital has been built as a result of a partnership between the Eswatini Government and Taiwan.
