Police Academy Commander and former police Public Relations Officer Senior Superintendent Vusi Masuku has passed on.
Masuku is said to have died around mid-day on Monday, May 30, 2022, following a car accident on Saturday.
The news of Masuku’s death came as a shock to many within the police service, most of whom when contacted were not even aware of his demise, save for the fact that some were aware that was involved in a car accident over the weekend.
Even though details surrounding to Masuku’s death remained scanty by the time of compiling this report, Eswatini Daily News understands that Masuku was involved in an accident and taken to hospital but was treated and discharged.
He is said to have gone to hospital on Monday morning for further checkup and treatment. “However, seemingly he developed some complications and eventually did not make it through,” one of our sources said.
Information coming through was that Masuku was from a traditional ceremony when he got involved in the car accident. Efforts to get comment from the deceased’s next of kin were unsuccessful by the time of compiling this report.
Other details are yet to be reported as the story of Masuku’s demise unfolds.
