Eswatini appointed co chair of the The Commonwealth Ministerial Meeting on Small States (CMMSS) held on the margins of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The Kingdom of Eswatini was announced as one of the Co-Chairs for this Meeting for the next CHOGM to be held in Samoa in 2024.
The announcement has been made during an Executive Session during which Minister of Economic Planning and Development Dr Thambo Gina was also announced as a Commonwealth Small State Advocacy Champion.
The #CHOGM2022 is ongoing in Kigali, Rwanda, and is attended by His Majesty King Mswati III and several Cabinet Ministers. Earlier yesterday, Patricia Scotland was re-elected as Secretary General of the Commonwealth.
