Lizz Truss will be Britain’s 3rd Female Prime Minister after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May. She received 57.4 percent votes against her opponent Rishi Sunak who got 42.6 percent votes.
She will formally assume the title of Prime Minister on appointment by the Queen. Ms. Truss will be meeting Queen Elizabeth II on Tuesday at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
