Pouring rain fails to stop Parliament Opening preparations

By Ntombi Mhlongo

Despite the pouring rain, the preparations for the Opening of Parliament kicked off on a high note Wednesday.

Both presiding officers, Senate President Pastor Lindiwe Dlamini and Speaker Petros Mavimbela led government officials, members of the security forces and Parliament staff throughout the session today.

The session included rehearsals for the activities expected to take place on the much anticipated day.
