About 10 rivers are overflowing in different areas around the country. The police have since issued a warning for people to not cross the overflowing bridges as this could lead to serious consequences.

The police said the rivers are the Mbuluzi River via Mbelebeleni, Ngwempisi River via Mankayane, Ngwempisana via Gebeni, Masini behind Tri-cash, Mndobandoba in Big Bend, Mlambotjwala and Ntinyane Rivers between Ntfonjeni and Emvembili and Mlumati River between Msahweni and Horo.

Others are Vuvulane and surrounding streams, Tshaneni to Maphiveni, Umgubudla River between Ngwane Park and Lwandle. The police urged teachers and parents to ensure that children were kept safe until the overflow subsides.
