The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has urged all types of businesses to book exhibition space at the Vusumnotfo Expo to be held in March.
EIPA in conjunction with the Federation of Eswatini Business Community (FESBC) and Tums Water World Hotel have partnered to organise the Vusumnotfo Expo 2023.
The expo which will be taking place for the second year will run from March 22 to 25 and is aimed at developing trade and economic activity in Eswatini. EIPA Manager Domestic Trade Siphesihle Nkhabindze said one of EIPA’s priorities is to stimulate trade in Eswatini by linking businesses to opportunities and resources which will grow their capabilities.
“We would like to encourage all types of businesses to book an exhibition space at the Vusumnotfo Expo 2023. The more representation we have at the event, the more value it will hold for those who attend. Businesses can also look forward to having their brands exposed to a prospective clientele whom they could later turn into repeat customers. In the past year, the Expo saw an attendance of over 1500 people over the four-day event. We look forward to hosting even more people this year,” he said.
Nkhabindze disclosed that for this year’s expo, EIPA has chosen two focus areas. These are financing options for any business and shining the spotlight on women in trade. These he said were chosen because often at times, finance becomes one of the key areas that hinder businesses from scaling and reaching new levels.
“We have also pinpointed the need to focus on empowering female traders to increase their presence in the country. The four-day event will offer an opportunity for businesspeople from all around Eswatini to network and gain valuable knowledge which could enhance their operations and, ultimately, their expansion. This will be done through a combination of seminars, networking dinner, and exhibitions by traders. We will also have a family day running on the last day of the Expo,” he said.
The expo will begin with a business dinner on the evening of March 22, followed by the half-day seminars. In the afternoon of both days of the seminar visitors will be given time to visit the different exhibition stands at the event and on the last day there will be a family day with exciting activities.
