Mlungisi Makhanya has retained his position as the President of the People’s Democratic Movement (PUDEMO).
This follows elections which were held at the proscribed entity’s 10th General Congress, which is said to have been held in Mpumalanga, South Africa over the weekend.

The results were shared on the political party’s social media messages and were welcomed with congratulatory messages from members and representatives of other parties.
The elections saw well-known political activist Maxwell Dlamini being elected as the 1 st Deputy Secretary General while the 2nd Deputy Secretary-General position went to Siboniso Mkhabela.

In terms of gender balance, Vamile Matsebula represents women in the executive. She was elected as the Deputy Treasurer General. Meanwhile, Velaphi Mamba emerged as the Treasurer-General while Penuel Malinga was elected Secretary-General.
Former Secretary General Wandile Dludlu emerged as the Deputy President.
