32-year-old arrested for the murder of an elderly man

A man (39) has been arrested and charged with the murder of an elderly man. This is according to the Chief Police Information and Communications Officer, Superintendent Phindile Vilakati.

She said the 82-year-old was found on Sunday night lying dead with multiple injuries all over his body in Maphungwane. She added that the suspect will appear before the Siteki Magistrate Court on Wednesday.

Vilakati also said Police were investigating an armed robbery case whereby on Monday morning, a man of Nginamadvolo was robbed of his motor vehicle a white Mazda Axella registered DSD 741 CH valued at E75 000 and five cellphones all valued at E18 000 by three armed men.

She urged anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects and recovery of the stolen motor vehicle to contact Hhohho RCBO Assistant Superintendent Jabulani Madlopha on 7606 8493.
