Manzini Wanderers rule the hub of Eswatini – and the boisterous club fans enjoyed every minute of it!

A goal barely two minutes into the match by wing wizard Njabulo ‘Koko’ Gama and a penalty cooly converted by Mlaba Nkambule in the 20th minute ensured the maroon and white outfit claimed not only three points but also the Manzini City’s bragging rights.

Sunday’s win also moved the ‘Weslians’ to the tenth spot just above Madlenya FC who are due to face title-chasing Young Buffaloes later in the afternoon.

Moneni Pirates, who had hogged headlines this week with the reported exit of South African director, Alinah Keibelwe amidst unpaid salaries, lost their second match in a row following the 3-0 loss to Mbabane Highlanders last weekend.

Manzini Wanderers made their intentions as early as the second minute when winger Njabulo ‘Koko’ Gama finished off beautifully from inside the box, beating Pirates goalkeeper, Ncanawe Ndlandla hands down.

It was Mlaba’s second goal in two games following his cracker free-kick against Tambankulu Callies which saved the ‘Weslians’ from the jaws of relegation.
