Former EFA president Adam Mthethwa honoured by COSAFA as Vice president

Former Eswatini Football Association (EFA) President Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa has been honoured by the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) as Vice President.

Mthethwa, who served local football for a combined 24 years as secretary general and President, was honoured in Friday’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Mthethwa was honoured in the presence of CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe who was a guest of honour during the COSAFA AGM. He was initially honoured in 2003 as Vice President but only got the trophy on Friday.

Also honoured during the event was former COSAFA President Suketu Patel. In a brief interview, Mthethwa said he is grateful for the honour and would continue to serve football.

“I really feel honoured by the award having been a servant of football for a long time. I also thank the football people in Eswatini who entrusted me with the responsibility of leading football development in our country,” Mthethwa said.
