South African Kwaito legend Thebe.

SOUTH African Kwaito legend Thebe is set to entertain fun lovers at the Swazi Polo on September 30, at the Manzini Club Lawns.

Thebe is joining a list of other confirmed South African artists namely, DJ Sithelo and Nomfundo Moh. The Swazi Polo is an event inspired by sophisticated daytime events infused with music, fashion, and food. The Swazi Polo is an event curated to meet the wishful thinking of mixing music and fashion in the Manzini community.

Born in Polokwane, Thebe had music pumping through his veins since he was born, as his father was also a musician, composer, and businessman. This led to him studying sound engineering and working as a club DJ, while also composing songs for friends.

He was offered a record deal by Oskido, upon hearing his song. With Oskido, he released his first album titled ‘Tempy Life’ which spawned hits such as ‘Philly’. Over his 15-year career, Thebe has gone on to record 12 successful albums that have solidified him a spot in the Kwaito Hall of Fame.

In an interview with Swazi Boy Entertainment Public Relations Officer Miss N, she said they are excited to bring the legendary Thebe for the first edition of Swazi Polo. “We want to give people a nostalgic feeling hence we’re bringing him,” she said.

She added that this is just the beginning as they have more artists to unveil. “All we can say is people should expect a very interesting line-up because we will host the best in the game. Tickets are available on Computicket and Shoprite Stores nationwide,” she added.

She further stated that they will continue to unveil more food stalls and other interesting activities for the day.
