The William Gamedze led side has reclaimed top spot with 14 points after six games, dislodging defending champions, Green Mamba to the second spot. The ‘Correctional Services’ side has 13 points in six matches.
Madlenya, who are punching above their weight, have already claimed the scalp of three big teams in Mbabane Highlanders, Manzini Wanderers and Royal Leopards earlier this season and they have further produced the player of the month for September in Sehluko Nkabindze.
The ‘Beautiful Birds’ jumped to the fourth position with 11 points despite failing to extend their winning streak to three matches following their consecutive wins over Nsingizini Hotspurs and Manzini Sea Birds respectively.
The two teams are among the contenders for the E100 000 first-round carrot. Madlenya coach William Gamedze welcomed the result.

“This is a fair result against a big team even though we wanted a win. I am happy that we have maintained our unbeaten and we will continue working hard in hard in the next match against Illovo where we will be motivated by the result against Swallows,” he said.
They will now shift focus to the game seven fixtures where they welcome newcomers Illovo on Saturday at KaLanga Technical Centre while Swallows will face Denver Sundowns on Sunday at Mavuso Sports Centre.
