Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Brand and Marketing Manager Lindelwa ‘Malindi’ Dlamini has walked out of the organization after barely a year in office.

Dlamini resigned on Wednesday afternoon, citing unworkable conditions after spending a year in the position. A source close to the matter revealed the shocking news.

“He has resigned with immediate effect, handing the letter to the CEO Kenneth Makhanya and his matter is still going to be discussed by the Executive committee,” he said.

The outgoing Marketing Manager was part of the negotiating team which saw the revival of the Trade Fair Cup and the return of the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup set to commence before the end of the year.

He further contributed to the engagement of new football sponsors such as Eswatini Beverages, Pick N’ Pay and Eswatini Air who now have erected advertising billboards on the pitch side during MTN Premier League matches.

Both Dlamini and Makhanya could not be reached for comments at the time of compiling this report. Dlamini has joined the likes of Luyanda Shabangu and Lindiwe Matsenjwa in the list of former Brand Managers for the elite football entity.

PLE is also expected to hold a special meeting where they will elect a replacement for former executive and ex-Tambuti Chairman Rudolph Matsenjwa who sold his club’s premier league status to Ezulwini United during the off-season.

Three candidates have been nominated for the vacant position in Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba (Tambankulu Callies), Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli (Manzini Wanderers) and Jabulani Dlamini (Young Buffaloes).
