Lwah Ndlunkulu to rock the Umuthi Fest stage

South African musician Lwah Ndlunkulu has been revealed as the latest addition to the already star-studded lineup of the highly anticipated Umuthi Fest.

The festival, a brainchild of Afro-Pop sensation Blaq Diamond in partnership with Megasound Events, is poised to be a vibrant celebration of music, culture, and unity like never seen before.

Set against the backdrop of showcasing the finest South African talent and creativity, Umuthi Fest has already garnered attention with confirmed performances by industry heavyweights such as Blaq Diamond, Sjava, and Eswatini’s very own rising star, Diba Diba.

Now, with the inclusion of Lwah Ndlunkulu, the festival is gearing up to be a must-attend event for music enthusiasts nationwide.

Scheduled to take place on April 18, 2024, at the prestigious Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre’s Outdoor Arena, Umuthi Fest promises to be a day filled with electrifying performances and unforgettable moments.

Tickets for Umuthi Fest are currently up for grabs on Computicket, with presale general admission priced at E150 and VIP tickets at E400. For the spontaneous souls among us, fret not, as tickets will also be available at the gate for E200.

Lwah Ndlunkulu

Lwandile Mtshali, professionally known as Lwah Ndlunkulu, hails from the vibrant town of Hluhluwe in KwaZulu-Natal.

Her journey in the music industry began when she signed a record deal with Nkabi Records and released her debut single, ‘Ithuba.’

This sensational track quickly became a hit, earning Lwah her first Platinum certification from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

Before her rise to fame, Lwah worked as a radio presenter at Hillbrow Radio Station and spent time at a club in Maboneng.

It was during her time at the club that she crossed paths with music producer Celza, who recognized her immense talent and invited her to visit Nkabi Records.

Impressed by her skills, Lwah signed a record deal and made her debut on Big Zulu’s single, ‘Umuzi eSandton,’ which featured on the album ‘Ichwane Lenyoka.’ The song quickly soared to the top of the charts, reaching number one in South Africa.


Lwah’s breakthrough moment came with the release of her debut single, ‘Ithuba,’ featuring Siya Ntuli in August 2022.

The song became an instant sensation, garnering global recognition and earning Lwah another Platinum certification from RiSA. With her unique style and powerful vocals, Lwah Ndlunkulu has become a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
