Indlovukazi encourages forgiveness and faith at Easter commemoration

As commanded by Christ to remember and celebrate him, throngs of emaSwati from the Christian community gathered at the National Church in Lobamba to honour the death of Jesus Christ across various the three Christian denominations in the country.



The service, which marked Good Friday, was graced by the presence of Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, who delivered a moving message emphasizing the profound influence of the Bible and the importance of forgiveness in the nation’s spiritual journey.

Her Majesty, the Indlovukazi, delivered a heartfelt sermon during the solemn ceremony, emphasizing the teachings of the Bible and urging emaSwati to continuously express gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon the country.


Recounting a compelling story from the Book of Acts, specifically Act 12, she highlighted the miraculous escape of Peter from prison and the subsequent demise of Herod Agrippa I.

This biblical narrative, she explained, served as an inspiration, illustrating that even in the face of adversity, God’s chosen path prevails.

Moreover, Indlovukazi emphasized the significance of forgiveness, drawing from Jesus’ profound teachings on the subject.

Referencing the crucifixion scene, where Jesus forgave his persecutors despite immense suffering, she stressed forgiveness as a cornerstone of spiritual growth and harmony.


Her Majesty urged the congregation to embrace this spirit of forgiveness, emphasizing its transformative power in strengthening unity and love within the kingdom.

The Good Friday service at Lobamba National Church attracted a large gathering of emaSwati who were deeply moved by Indlovukazi’s words.

Many expressed their gratitude and admiration for the Queen Mother’s unwavering devotion to her faith and her tireless promotion of unity and love within the kingdom.

Her Majesty’s message was well received by church leaders who stated that such preaching is what Christians need to hear and apply in their daily lives as it is enshrined in the scriptures.

As the service concluded, the congregation left Lobamba National Church with renewed spirits and a deepened sense of purpose.

Reverend Mthokozisi Nhlengetfwa of Kukhanyokusha Church in Zion expressed that they were deeply moved by the Queen Mother’s message, and he said that such a holy occasion would be remembered as a heartfelt reminder of the kingdom’s foundation in the Bible.

Pastor Mduduzi Ndlela stated that the Easter commemoration at Lobamba National Church served as a time of reflection and remembrance and a testament to the enduring power of faith and forgiveness in shaping the destiny of nations.

Ndlela further said that in the words of Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, emaSwati must continue to walk in the light of forgiveness, gratitude, and unity, guided by the timeless teachings of the Bible.

“Her Majesty Indlovukazi cited what Jesus told us to do.” He spoke. “If Eswatini can abide by the true teachings of the Bible, the country will progress even further. I was truly moved by Her Majesty’s sermon.”
