There is no Admiral kit deal for now at Mbabane Highlanders.
Capital City giants Mbabane Highlanders were recently linked with a kit sponsorship deal with suppliers, Admiral. However,
The news of the potential deal was quick to make rounds on social media when the team’s South African sole Managing Director (MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe was not formally aware.
Amid that, he still welcomed his team’s National Supporters Committee (NSC) along with some of the team’s Management Committee (MC) members late last month to a meeting in Pretoria, South Africa.
The meeting, as confirmed by a statement released by the club on its Facebook page as of Monday night, was held on April 25.

Highlanders NSC Chairman Mfanzile Dlamini, in collaboration with the club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Kenneth Dlamini, released the official statement on the Highlanders Facebook page.
“The purpose of the meeting was to clarify some of the issues which were making rounds in the social media.
This was also meant to give the Director an opportunity to make known his side and vision about Highlanders,” reads the statement in part as it goes on to declare the meeting as a success.
Among issues discussed was the Admiral sponsorship, some people trying to push Kgomongwe out of the team, allegations of MC colluding with those rebelling against the Director.
“After having clarified the above issues, sanity then prevailed. The director pointed out that he needed time for discussion with regards to a sponsor.
However, if a sponsor comes with a sound and lucrative offer, then his hands are open. Consultations and verification will be done before a sponsor is considered,” continues the statement.

It is also stated that Kgomongwe appeared for calm from their supporters as the club was never going to die while he was at the helm.
He acknowledged his absence may have contributed to their failures this season, but he will be able to focus again next season as the South Africa national elections will have passed.
Reached for a comment from Pretoria early this week, Kgomongwe preferred to say he never got a full report about the source of the deal.
