Scheduled to take place at Sundeck in Manzini on May 25, 2024, the Block Party has pulled out all the stops by confirming a roster of talented artists including Matamza, TAP, Ayacity, Thubillion, Maphi, Yung-Tmpo, Amarii, and Wassabee.
This eagerly anticipated gathering is tailor-made for the youth, bringing together the community for a festive celebration of music, dance, and the spirit of togetherness.

A cornerstone of many neighbourhoods, block parties offer a unique platform for residents to come together, enjoy good music, partake in delicious food, engage in games, and dance, all while fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among neighbours.
The Block Party at Sundeck promises to continue this cherished tradition with a modern twist, providing a dynamic space for Eswatini’s young people to showcase their talent and revel in the rich cultural traditions of dance and music.
Guests can anticipate an exhilarating experience with two distinct dance floors: the ‘Grootman floor’ at Sundeck and the underground floor at Cardo Square in Ngwane Park, offering a secure and weather-proof environment complete with necessary amenities to ensure a seamless party experience.
In an exclusive interview with Shiggy Mbewe, the event organizer from MarkSwag, it was revealed that the entertainment lineup guarantees high-octane performances by a diverse range of artists, DJs, dancers, and graffiti artists.
Backed by a state-of-the-art sound system and mesmerizing lighting effects from LED screens, partygoers can expect a pulsating ambience that will keep them grooving all night long.
Going beyond the realm of music and dance, the Block Party is also looking to shine a spotlight on HIV prevention, particularly among the youth, who are statistically more vulnerable to infections.
Mbewe emphasized the significance of educating attendees on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) as vital tools in safeguarding against HIV transmission.

Leading up to the event, roadshows will be conducted to raise awareness about the availability and benefits of PrEP and PEP, underscoring the pivotal role these medications play in reducing the risk of HIV contraction.
