LOCAL football trendsetters Nsingizini Hotspurs will this weekend honour their outstanding players for their gallant performances during the recently ended 2023/24 season.
The team is set to host their end-of-season party scheduled for this coming weekend, possibly on Saturday at Nsingizini Sports Ground in Hluthi.
This was announced by the club president Derrick Shiba in his end-of-the-season statement. The males finished third in the MTN Premier League with 48 points under the guidance of Zimbabwean coach Alexis Sergion, who joined the team during the recent transfer window.

“We would like to invite our supporters to our end-of-season awards this coming weekend at Nsingizini Hotspurs Sports Ground.”
The green and white ensemble further defended the MoMo Cup while the ladies’ side is currently lying in the top four brackets of the Women’s Football League.
Shiba further thanked both the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) and the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) for creating an enabling environment during the recently ended season.
The president also congratulated newly crowned MTN Premier League champions Mbabane Swallows for winning the league title.
“Congratulations to Mbabane Swallows for winning the league and we have learnt a lot from them. We have had a good run during the second round which includes the league’s unbeaten run.
I would like to commend our management committee for their tireless efforts towards the success of the team,” he said.
The locally based businessman thanked their sponsors and supporters for rallying behind the team throughout the season. Some of the team sponsors include Embiveni Meats, Siphambanweni Milling and Primo, among others.

The team is currently selling its merchandise in several local and international outlets such as Mr Matata and Century Fashions.
He also appreciated their international partner Amazulu FC for assisting them during their preseason camp.
The two teams have a standing memorandum of understanding and exchange in programs.
The team also saw a couple of their male team players receive Sihlangu call-ups such as Neliso ‘Shaka’ Myeni, Nkhosingiphile Shongwe, Thubelihle Mavuso and goalkeeper Sibusiso ‘Bharaba’ Dlamini.
Ladies team captain Nomfundo Bhembe is the Women’s National Under-20 captain.
Sonnyboy Dlamini set to return to PLE
Former Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) accountant Sonnyboy Dlamini is set to rejoin the organisation.
Dlamini will assume the position following his successful interview conducted on Monday.
He is replacing Sibusiso Salelwako who recently left the organisation.
A source close to the matter revealed that Dlamini is set to assume duties in the organisation in due course.
“Sonnyboy has won the interview, and he will soon join the organisation,” the source said.
PLE Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Makhanya confirmed Dlamini’s engagement when reached for comment.
“I can confirm that Mr. Sonnyboy Dlamini was interviewed for the position of Accountant. A report is being prepared for the PLE executive committee.
report will be made on the candidates that have been interviewed and following our submissions the executive committee will decide and an announcement made to the PLE membership and the public,” he said.
Dlamini once worked for the organisation with during the era of former Chairman and business guru Moses ‘Mkhulu’ Motsa.
Other previous PLE accounts include Nhlanhla Dlamini, among others.
The PLE will be going for polls between July and August to elect a new executive committee to lead the organisation in the next four years.
Outgoing Chairman Mark Carmicheal recently stated he won’t contest for another term in the hot seat.
