Indlovukazi builds home for 79-year-old at Siphocosini

Her Majesty Indlovukazi has built a new home for 79-year-old Gogo Emelina Maseko at Nkhube under Siphocosini.

The house was officially handed over by the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM), Thulisile Dladla who hailed this initiative and emphasized the Royal family’s continued love and support for all emaSwati.

At the handover ceremony, the DPM expressed her gratitude towards Indlovukazi, stating that Gogo Emelina must feel truly blessed to be supported by the Royal family, who are dedicated to ensuring that all emaSwati live in decent conditions.

“Emakhosi asitsandza sonkhe ngekulingana, konkhe nje lamuhla nalokulakhatsi endlini kutfolakale ngobe Emakhosi ayasitsandza,” Dladla remarked, where she highlighted the genuine care, the Royal family has for the people.

DPM Thulisile Dladla clarified that the donation comes to the Indlunkhulu, as Gogo Emelina is a resident under their jurisdiction.

She also mentioned that in a recent discussion with His Majesty King Mswati III, the King expressed his concerns about the rising unemployment rates in the country.

He tasked the government with creating opportunities for decent jobs and empowering the youth to be self-employed. Dladla noted, “This shows how much the King loves emaSwati.”

Furthermore, Dladla used this opportunity to call on all mothers to ensure that no child stays out of school due to a lack of funds. She urged residents to reach out to her office if assistance is needed.

“Ngicela sinakane, uma umbona lomunye adzinga Lusito, hambani niye kobika endlunkhulu noma enkhundleni lapho khona sitose siyeta tsine silihhovisi kutosita.

Lelive litokwakha uma silekelelana, ungadli nje wena kakho uma kamakhelwane babe baswele,” she stated, where she emphasized the importance of community support and unity.

In addition to Indlovukazi’s generosity, DPM Dladla applauded Siphocosini Chief Jabhane Dlamini for his donation of 200 bricks used in the construction of the house.

She praised the Chief’s contribution and ordered her team to assist Gogo Emelina’s home with fencing as the ploughing season approaches.

The Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla has strongly urged the grandchildren of Gogo Emelina Maseko to respect their grandmother’s home and not forcefully take her possessions.

This comes after alarming reports of children harassing the elderly and seizing their belongings.

When handing over the house, the Deputy Prime Minister addressed the family, emphasizing the significance of the home to Gogo Emelina Maseko.

“Lendlu le yendlunkhulu, ayisiyo neya gogo, indlunkhulu iyakhele Gogo kutsi ahlale kahle. Asifuni kuva imibiko yekutsi gogo senimkhiphile endlini namemuca umbhedze.”

Which is loosely translated as “This house is built specifically for the well-being of the elderly matriarch, should remain her sanctuary, free from any threat or coercion by you as her descendants.”

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the moral and cultural importance of cherishing and caring for the elderly.

She stressed that love and respect for the elderly are blessings in themselves, and she encouraged the younger generation to foster a harmonious and supportive family environment.

She urged the children to assist Gogo Emelina Maseko with chores and to share meals together as a family, reinforcing the bond and unity within the household.

Again, the Deputy Prime Minister donated food to Gogo Emelina Maseko’s family.

The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), which played a significant role in the construction of Gogo’s house, also contributed by donating two sponges for the children to sleep on which was hailed as it will ensure a more comfortable living arrangement for the entire family.

Former Ministers, Chief Jabhane showers Gogo with gifts

Gogo Emelina Maseko has become the luckiest woman in Siphocosini. This follows the construction of a new house for her, spearheaded by Her Majesty Indlovukazi.

This noble effort to uplift Gogo Emelina’s living conditions has inspired former ministers and local leaders to contribute generously to her new home.

Former Minister of Sports, Youth and Culture and member of the Ludzidzini Council, Hlobsile Ndlovu, showed her support by donating a bed to Gogo Emelina.

This bed was said to undoubtedly bring comfort to Gogo Emelina in her newly built house.

Ndlovu’s gesture was followed by another from former Minister of Health Sibongile Ndlela-Simelane who provided blankets to ensure that Gogo Emelina remains warm and comfortable.

Ndlela-Simelane expressed her admiration for Her Majesty Indlovukazi’s initiative. “Natsi satsi asiphose esivivane nasiva kutsi Indlovukazi yenta lomsbenti lomuhle kangaka yentela Gogo,” she said.

Again, Chief Jabhane Dlamini of Siphocosini also made a significant contribution by donating E1000.00 which he said they will use to ensure that they have all necessities.

Additionally, he announced that they will bring more food parcels to the family.

In a touching twist, it was discovered that one of Gogo Emelina’s grandchildren is an aspiring bricklayer.

Seizing the opportunity to further support the family, Chief Jabhane offered him a job at the Umphakatsi.

The Chief called on the young man to come and do something at the Indlunkulu which will ensure that the home continues having a decent life.
