The Ministry of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) of the Kingdom of Eswatini has announced that Minister Savannah Maziya has been awarded the prestigious Lifetime Award for the Africa Economy Builders Forum & Awards (Les Battisseurs de L’Economie African).
This accolade has been said to be one of the most illustrious recognitions on the continent and it celebrates exceptional contributions to economic development in Africa.
The award was presented to Minister Maziya on July 4, 2024, during a grand ceremony held in the Ivory Coast.

Adding to her accolades, Minister Savannah was also honoured with a Leadership Award from the French African Marketing Association on July 11, 2024.
This year’s theme, “Act and Impact,” highlighted her leadership’s broad influence across the continent, including significant engagements with French-speaking African countries.
This was shared in a statement by the Ministry’s Principal Secretary Phesheya Dube.
The statement shared that Maziya’s contributions were celebrated alongside other distinguished Lifetime Award recipients, including Mo Ibrahim, the Sudanese-British telecommunications magnate; Sir Sam Jonah, the Ghanaian gold mining entrepreneur; and Samuel Dossou-Aworet, a prominent figure in the petrochemical industry.
Established in 2006, the African Economy Builders Awards honour African and diaspora elites who have achieved national and global success, as well as multinationals making significant investments in Africa.
Minister Savannah Maziya’s recognition as the sole recipient of the Lifetime Award this year has been lauded by the government who said that it solidifies her standing as a visionary leader and advocate for sustainable economic growth across the African continent.

She attended the ceremony virtually as the Guest of Honour, joining over 300 participants from various sectors, including oil, infrastructure, hospitality, asset management, and banking.
The gathering featured prominent companies and senior government officials, predominantly from French-speaking nations.
The Minister of Infrastructure and ICT of Ivory Coast, who presented the award, praised Minister Maziya for her outstanding contribution and strategic focus on the African continent.
Her remarkable work in South Africa and engagement with French-speaking African countries were particularly noted.
On a related note, Maziya’s outstanding marketing excellence and stellar leadership acumen within the African continent were recognised by the French African Marketing Association.
