BakaNgwane to be screened in Lesotho

Film lovers of Eswatini have all the reasons to be proud as the critically acclaimed film ‘BakaNgwane’ is set to debut in Lesotho.

Set to be showcased at the highly anticipated European Union Film Festival, the screening will take place on November 22, 2024, at the Alliance Française de Maseru Hall.

The movie is set to be screened at 4:30 pm, film lovers are in for a treat.

Running for an engaging 1 hour and 42 minutes, ‘BakaNgwane’ has already begun to capture hearts.

Recently, it had its debut screening on the European Fim Festival stage at Alliance Française in Mbabane on October 26, where it garnered rave reviews from audiences and critics alike for its rich narrative and stunning visuals.

The film’s resurgence at the Alliance in Maseru highlights its growing popularity and significance in the Southern African film landscape.

At the helm of this remarkable production is Senator Pholile Shakantu, serving as the film’s Executive Producer.

Under her visionary leadership, ‘BakaNgwane’ has not only emerged as a critical success but also as a cultural beacon, shining a light on Eswatini’s rich heritage.

The film is produced by the talented Sibusiso Dlamini, whose passion for storytelling and dedication to excellence is evident throughout the film’s production.
