Cabinet donates E70 000 to End Malaria Fund Eswatini

The Cabinet of Eswatini has made a generous donation of E70,000 towards the End Malaria Fund.

The announcement was made during a solemn signing ceremony of the End Malaria pledge by Cabinet Ministers on Tuesday morning at the Private and Cabinet Office.

The pledge signifies the government’s unwavering dedication to eliminating malaria from the country.

Ministers vowed to leverage their influence and resources to ensure that the nation takes comprehensive measures for malaria prevention and early detection of symptoms and to promote malaria education throughout their tenure.

Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini highlighted the importance of collective efforts in the fight against malaria.

“Today, we reaffirm our commitment to eradicate malaria from our land. Every life lost to this preventable disease is one too many,” said Dlamini.

“The contribution made by the End Malaria Fund is invaluable to our goal of achieving zero malaria in Eswatini. It is crucial that we support this initiative, not just with financial resources, but also with our dedication and hard work.”

Dlamini went on to stress the significance of education in malaria prevention. “As leaders, we have a responsibility to educate our communities about the signs and symptoms of malaria.

Awareness is key to early detection, which is vital in saving lives. Together, we can create a future where malaria is no longer a threat to our people.”

The Prime Minister’s remarks underscore the Cabinet’s resolve to mobilise further resources and support for the End Malaria Fund, aiming to enhance healthcare systems and equip citizens with the knowledge necessary to protect themselves from malaria.
