Govt hands over projects worth over E3.4 million in Mhlume

The Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development left the people of Mhlume with Colgate smiles after delivering over three transformative income-generating projects valued at over E3.4 million.

is aiming to uplift the communities and enhance socioeconomic conditions across the country’s four regions.

Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini highlighted the RDF’s role as a “flagship of success” in driving rural development.

He emphasized that income-generating projects such as these are central to Government’s mission of reducing poverty and fostering self-reliance among emaSWATI.

“As it has been evidenced today, the Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development through the Regional Development Fund has continued to spearhead Government’s programmes focused on rural development and poverty reduction.

These projects not only generate income but also uplift entire communities by creating sustainable livelihoods,” Dlamini said.

The Minister then challenged emaSwati, particularly the youth and people living with disabilities, urging them to seize the opportunities presented by the RDF to establish enterprises and break the cycle of poverty.

“I urge today’s beneficiaries and community members to safeguard their properties jealously, as government through the Regional Development Fund,

has contributed colossal sums of money to ensure Mhlume achieves an improved socio-economic status,” the Minister added.
