The Word of Faith Ministries has extended support to flood victims through the Deputy Prime Minister’s office as rains continue to cause widespread damage across the country.
The church presented food items, blankets, clothes, and toiletries to the office to be distributed to the emaSwati that had been affected by the flood.
DPM Thuli Dladla said the church is doing a greater job in embracing the humanitarian aspect and applauded Word of Faith for the initiative.
“Since taking office and now entering the second year of my tenure, this is the first time I have witnessed a church actively responding to the government’s call to assist those in need.

While we understand that the church traditionally supports its congregation in times of hardship, it is truly humbling to see this commitment extend beyond their immediate members to encompass the broader community and the nation as a whole,” she said.
Dladla said this initiative reflects the church’s willingness to collaborate with the government in addressing pressing societal challenges, such as supporting victims in dire circumstances.
It serves as a testament to the power of unity and the shared responsibility of uplifting those most in need.
She noted that in some communities, similar actions may take place, although the office may not yet be aware of them.
“Today, I am witnessing such an instance firsthand. It is not necessarily because the church has an abundance of resources, but rather because everyone is coming together to assist His Majesty in his endeavors.
This collective effort acknowledges that His Majesty cannot achieve these goals on his own, and it emphasizes the spirit of unity and shared responsibility,” Dladla said.
The DPM elaborated that His Majesty urges emaSwati to come together in unity and harmony during challenging times like these, emphasizing the importance of spreading love, compassion, and support in every possible way.
Adding that such moments call for collective action and mutual care to ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles.
“We extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the church for stepping forward to offer such meaningful support.

Their actions embody the spirit of solidarity and generosity that His Majesty envisions for the nation, setting an inspiring example of how we can all contribute to building a more caring and united community,” she said.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the proactive and hands-on approach demonstrated by Members of Parliament in addressing the needs of their constituencies affected by the floods.
She commended their efforts in reaching out to her office, highlighting their dedication to ensuring that assistance is promptly extended to those impacted.
“Their initiative reflects a strong commitment to serving their communities, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that no one is left unsupported during this challenging time,” Dladla said.
Apostle Buyile Shongwe acknowledged the proactive efforts of Dladla and her office in rallying support for emaSwati affected by the widespread damage caused by heavy rains to homes and infrastructure across the country.
He noted that the church was moved by the dedication and urgency displayed in addressing the needs of those impacted.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation and the call for assistance, the church deemed it important to contribute in their way.
In response, they organized and brought essential items that had been purchased or generously donated by members of the congregation.
“This gesture reflects the church’s commitment to standing in solidarity with the affected communities and playing a meaningful role in the collective effort to provide relief and support to those in need,” she said.
The Apostle said the church has observed the Deputy Prime Minister taking a hands-on approach in addressing various challenges,
from assisting families whose homes have collapsed due to adverse weather conditions to supporting those living in poverty-stricken circumstances.

Her unwavering commitment to being present and responsive in these difficult situations has been both inspiring and motivating.
“As a church, we felt compelled to join this noble effort and contribute in any way we can. We recognized the importance of participating in this initiative, not only to support the DPM’s office and the government but also to stand in solidarity with our fellow emaSwati during these trying times.
Though our resources may be limited, we believe that even the little we have can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Our contribution reflects our shared responsibility to uplift and assist one another as a community,” she added.
