The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that the Ngwenya Border Post is now operational following a brief closure earlier on Sunday.
The sudden halt in operations had resulted in long queues, prompting immediate action from the ministry to restore normalcy.
Quickly to address the inconvenience faced by the public, the Ministry has implemented an enhanced staffing strategy at the border.

Additional personnel have been deployed to ensure quicker and more efficient processing of travelers entering and exiting the country.
This response aims to mitigate the waiting times that have frustrated many in the past and streamline the flow of movement at the border.
Mlandvo Dlamini, the Ministerial Communications Officer, expressed gratitude for the public’s patience during the disruption.
“We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation during this time. We encourage all travelers to remain calm and follow the instructions provided by border staff for a seamless experience,” Dlamini stated.
The temporary closure had created a ripple effect, with many travelers caught off guard.
The Ministry’s swift action to reopen the border and deploy additional staff reflects their commitment to providing efficient services and ensuring public satisfaction.
