Residents have expressed their optimism regarding the establishment of the post, which they believe will help mitigate crime-related issues and enhance overall safety in the area.
“Having a police presence in our community is crucial. We have been facing numerous challenges with stock theft and the frequent occurrence of forest fires, which not only threaten our livelihoods but also our way of life,” said a local farmer, who spoke on behalf of other residents.
“We are hopeful that this new facility will bring about a lasting solution and restore our peace of mind.”
Minister Dlamini, during the handover ceremony, emphasized the government’s commitment to improving security measures across the country.
“The establishment of this police post is a testament to our dedication to safeguarding the well-being of all citizens. We believe that by increasing police presence, we can tackle crime more effectively and respond swiftly to emergencies,” he stated.
NATCOM Masango echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of community cooperation in maintaining safety.
“The new post will enhance our ability to respond to calls for assistance and investigate crimes promptly. However, we urge community members to work alongside us, report suspicious activities, and play an active role in fostering a safer environment for all,” he urged.
It should be noted that as the new police post opens its doors, many residents are hopeful that it will lead to a decrease in criminal activity and a more robust system for addressing emergencies.
