Mbabane – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini on Tuesday received a courtesy visit from South Africa’s Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, at the Private and Cabinet Office.
During the meeting, Dr Nzimande expressed gratitude on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa for the Kingdom’s contribution and support towards South Africa’s liberation struggle.
Prime Minister Dlamini told the visiting minister that Eswatini is keen to strengthen collaboration with South Africa, particularly in higher education, science, innovation and ICT.
The Prime Minister also told Dr Nzimande that the Kingdom is working towards the establishment of the SADC University of Technology, where innovation and information communication technologies will play a central role.
Both leaders agreed to explore possible areas of cooperation and partnership in advancing the initiative.
