The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy has announced a reduction in fuel prices, with the new prices taking effect at midnight on Thursday, July 2, 2026, and becoming effective on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Diesel 50ppm S will decrease by E3.00 per litre, and Illuminating Paraffin will also decrease by E3.00 per litre. Mbingo said the adjustment follows a decline in international crude oil prices.

“The international crude oil prices have decreased and traded at an average of USD91 per barrel, compared to an average of USD110 per barrel realised in May, 2026, due to the recent diplomatic breakthrough in the Middle East geopolitical tensions,” she said.

She further stated that the Lilangeni had recorded a slight appreciation against the United States Dollar during the review period.
