Pick n Pay Lojaf has injected E300 000 towards the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) National Teachers’ Day 2026 celebrations.
The sponsorship was announced by Lojaf Group Eswatini Chief Executive Officer Mario Fernandes during the official handover of a replica cheque to the SNAT National Executive Committee at Matsapha Link on Wednesday.
The contribution comes as SNAT prepares for its annual celebrations, which provide an opportunity to recognise teachers for their role in educating learners and shaping future generations.
Receiving the sponsorship, outgoing SNAT Executive President Mbongwa Dlamini commended Pick n Pay Lojaf for supporting the teaching fraternity, describing the contribution as a meaningful gesture that would benefit teachers and the wider community.
Dlamini said the relationship between the company and SNAT had developed into a mutually beneficial partnership, adding that the benefits would ultimately extend to emaSwati.
He expressed optimism that the sponsorship would bring smiles to teachers, noting that happy teachers were better positioned to inspire happiness among their learners. He said the well-being of educators was important because they influenced the young people entrusted to them.
Africa Alliance Partner Sthofeni Ginindza said the group was passionate about building mutually beneficial relationships with emaSwati. He explained that the company wanted its initiatives to deliver meaningful benefits to society rather than establish one-sided relationships.
