Labour Ministry engage with Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority

Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Makhosini Mndawe, together with senior ministry officials, attended a key stakeholder engagement session with the Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority (ESWACAA) today.

During the meeting, the Ministry was formally recognized as a crucial partner within ESWACAA’s corporate services division. Mndawe highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating,

“Our engagement with ESWACAA reflects our commitment to supporting strategic sectors that contribute to national development and employment.”

The session focused on strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and ESWACAA to enhance workforce development, labour compliance, and social security services within the aviation sector.



Officials discussed ways to align labour policies with the operational needs of the civil aviation industry, emphasizing the importance of worker welfare and skills development.

Representatives from ESWACAA acknowledged the Ministry’s role in facilitating a conducive environment for aviation workers and pledged to continue fostering collaboration.

“The civil aviation sector is a critical part of Eswatini’s economy and infrastructure, and working closely with the Ministry of Labour ensures that we maintain high standards for our workforce,” said an ESWACAA spokesperson.

Both parties agreed to establish ongoing dialogue channels to address challenges and opportunities within the sector, aiming for sustainable growth and compliance with labour laws.



The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to supporting all sectors in creating jobs and improving working conditions for Eswatini’s workforce.
