Kaizer Chiefs signed former SuperSport United midfielder Sphesihle Ndlovu at the start of the current season in a move which was less anticipated.
But now the midfielder who has also played for Orlando Pirates in the past told media that though his move to Naturena came a surprise it was inspired by his father.

Talking to the media during a press conference at Naturena on Monday morning ahead of their game against Sekhukhune United on Tuesday evening at the FNB Stadium Ndlovu said the talks had started long before the season ended.

“It was long overdue to join Chiefs. This move was actually inspired by my dad because he supports the club. So, I thought it was time now that I had to make this move because it has been long overdue. So, here I am and I’m very happy to be here.At that time what happened was that we had to sit down and speak about it because it was happening during the season,” Ndlovu told the media.

Meanwhile the former Orlando Pirates midfielder said that after the inspiration from his father they had to sit down and agree to be on the same page.

“We had to sit down and talk so that we obviously put each other into the same page.We agreed very well with the club,” Ndlovu observed.

Since joining the club Ndlovu has been influential even scoring the winning goal against Polokwane City which Chiefs won 1-0.
