The Government expressed deep appreciation for the crucial role played by the International Organisation on Migration (IOM) in facilitating this repatriation.

Mdluli acknowledged, “His Majesty’s Government would like to extend profound appreciation for all the support received from the IOM, which was instrumental in ensuring the seamless and humane repatriation process.”

In addition to thanking the IOM, the Government also recognised the ongoing cooperation of the Government of Jamaica.

Through constant communication facilitated by their High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, Jamaica played a vital role in coordinating Etoria’s return.

Mdluli further extended gratitude to the countries of transit that provided essential assistance during the repatriation journey, ensuring smooth passage and logistical support.

While celebrating this milestone, the Government remains actively engaged with the remaining four immigrants from Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, and Yemen.

According to Mdluli, “Engagements with the other four immigrants are currently ongoing, with a view to repatriating them to their respective countries.”

She assured the public that further updates will be provided as new developments occur, reflecting the Government’s commitment to transparency and responsible management of the TCP Programme.
