It reflects the deep pain of being betrayed by people who were close enough to touch your soul but chose to hurt you instead of protecting you.”

The lyrics of “Nhlitiyo Yami” delve into the complexities of human relationships, exploring themes of emotional scars and disappointment.

Young Zesh elaborated, “The song captures the experience of being let down when your heart was open, honest, and pure. It’s a reflection of the shock of realising that not everyone who claims to love you is loyal.”

The significance of the heart (iNhlitiyo) is central to the song’s message. Young Zesh emphasised that it symbolises the inner pain that often goes unnoticed. “Betrayal leaves scars that are invisible to the eye but heavy on the soul,” he remarked.

The collaboration with Bishop Gcina Masuku adds a layer of gravitas to the track. Masuku, a revered figure in Eswatini’s gospel music scene, is known for his powerful vocals and spiritual messages.

His contribution to “Nhlitiyo Yami” is expected to enhance the song’s emotional resonance, bridging the gap between contemporary and traditional gospel music.

Young Zesh is eager for fans to experience the song’s message and has urged listeners to support it by streaming it on all digital platforms once it drops. “We are taking umculo weSiSwati to another level,” he stated.
