Two top models from Eswatini are set to make a remarkable impression at the upcoming Phakama Mpumalanga Festival.
Nondumiso Msibi, representing Eswatini, and Mercy Mathebula from South Africa, will grace the runway on November 1–2, 2025, at Mantana Gardens, Ngwenya Estate in White River, Mpumalanga. Their participation signals Eswatini’s growing influence and ambition within the regional fashion industry.
Top Models Eswatini, the agency behind this dynamic duo, has a proud history of showcasing Swati talent on international platforms. This year marks their third consecutive appearance at the Phakama Mpumalanga Festival, a fact that underscores the agency’s consistent growth and rising reputation.
Mbalenhle Manana, the director of Top Models Eswatini, expressed deep pride in the models’ ability to elevate the brand’s image beyond national borders.
“We are always grateful for the opportunity given to Top Models Eswatini. They always showcase great versatility and stage presence. They are like a moving work of art which makes the runway vibes high, owning it and making the festival unforgettable,” she said.
Manana highlighted that the models’ professionalism, creativity, and consistency have been instrumental in establishing Top Models Eswatini as a respected name in the regional fashion scene.

Their participation in high-profile events such as Phakama reflects the evolution and maturation of Swati fashion and modelling standards. “It is not just about walking the runway; it’s about representing the culture, the creativity, and the future of Eswatini fashion,” she added.
This November is particularly significant for Top Models Eswatini, as the Phakama Festival will be their second international showcase within the month.
Earlier, the agency made a strong impression at the MFR Fashion Week in Pretoria, South Africa, further solidifying its presence in the competitive African fashion market.
“It is going to be our second gig for Top Africa Models as we had our first fashion show last week in Pretoria at MFR Fashion Week,” Manana explained.
The Phakama Mpumalanga Festival is renowned for its vibrant fusion of fashion, music, and art, attracting designers, models, and creatives from across Africa.
It serves as a vital platform for emerging and established talent to network, collaborate, and showcase their craft to a diverse audience. For Top Models Eswatini, the festival is more than a runway event; it is a stage for cultural exchange and a celebration of African creativity.
Manana emphasised that the agency’s involvement in such events goes beyond mere exposure.
It is about representation and inspiring the next generation of Swati models to pursue their ambitions with confidence and determination. “Our participation is a reminder of how far Eswatini’s fashion has come and how bright the future continues to look,” she said.
