Stixx, whose real name is Samuel Seloane, hails from Kwa-Thema and Selcourt in the East Rand of South Africa.
Born in 2003 into a family with deep musical roots, his connection to music began almost from infancy, as he first picked drumsticks at the tender age of two.

His early musical explorations included deep house and gospel production starting in 2015. Over time, he expanded his repertoire to include Afrosoul, neo-soul, and R&B, before fully immersing himself in the Amapiano genre in late 2020, a genre that has since become a defining element of his artistic identity.
The year 2021 marked a significant step in Stixx’s career with the independent release of his EP ‘Ngeke Balunge.’ This project showcased his distinctive creative vision and set the stage for further growth.
Throughout 2022, Stixx dedicated himself to refining his craft during rigorous studio camps, which opened doors to collaborations with established artists in the South African music scene.
His breakthrough came when DBN Gogo, a prominent figure in the Amapiano community, recognised his talent. She invited him to use her studio facilities and eventually signed him to her label, Zikode Records.
Under this banner, Stixx released his debut single “Buya” and contributed production work on tracks such as Venom & Shishiliza’s “Love Is Pain,” further cementing his reputation as a producer with a soulful and unique sound.
