The 2026 Inyatsi Schools Arts and Culture Competitions got off to an exciting start at Killarney Stadium in Piggs Peak, where schools from the Hhohho North region showcased their talents in a colourful display of culture, music and dance.
Learners captivated spectators with energetic cultural dances, vibrant kwaito performances and impressive drum majorette routines as they competed for top honours in various categories.

The event attracted hundreds of learners, teachers, parents and community members who gathered to celebrate arts and culture in schools.
Among the standout performers were Timphisini High School, Ekudvwaleni High School and Mayiwane High School, which emerged among the big winners of the day after delivering outstanding performances that impressed both judges and spectators.
Eswatini Schools Arts and Culture Association Vice President Mandla Shongwe praised the level of talent displayed by learners and commended the sponsors for investing in the development of young people.

“These competitions continue to provide an important platform for learners to showcase their talents while preserving our cultural heritage.
We are grateful to Inyatsi Foundation, Eswatini Network of Women, Lidwala Insurance and The Clinic Group for their invaluable support in making this programme a success,” said Shongwe.

Lidwala Insurance and The Clinic Group were also present at the event, providing insurance, medical aid, health and wellness services to participants and spectators throughout the competition.
