REPS holds Thanksgiving Service for successful Police Da

The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) yesterday held a Thanksgiving Prayer Service at the Police Academy to give thanks to Almighty God for the successful hosting of Police Day commemorations.

The service brought together the National Commissioner of Police, Manoma Vusie Masango, members of the Police Executive, senior officers and officers from various units, as they reflected on the successful commemorations and offered prayers of gratitude.

The service was held under the theme, “Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ”, drawn from 2 Corinthians 2:14.

The thanksgiving formed part of REPS’ tradition of acknowledging God’s role in the organisation’s work and seeking divine guidance as the police service continues with its mandate of protecting and serving the nation.

Addressing those gathered, National Commissioner Masango expressed his appreciation for the successful outcome of Police Day, which brought together members of the police service, dignitaries and other stakeholders.

Masango thanked His Majesty King Mswati III and Her Majesty the Queen Mother for gracing the Police Day commemorations, as well as other dignitaries from Eswatini and beyond who attended the event.

He also gave glory to God Almighty for the protection and guidance extended to the police service throughout the commemorations.

The National Commissioner’s remarks reflected on the significance of the thanksgiving gathering as an opportunity for members of REPS to pause after the commemorations and acknowledge the role of faith and prayer in the organisation’s work.

Leading the service, Pastor Khaboe Dlamini read from Psalm 115:1-2, directing the congregation’s attention to the importance of giving glory to God rather than taking credit for achievements.

Pastor Dlamini subsequently led prayers of gratitude for REPS, the Kingdom of Eswatini and the continued favour and protection of God upon the police service.

The prayers also provided an opportunity for members of the organisation to seek continued divine guidance as they carry out their responsibilities in communities across the country.
