EPTC launches ‘Connecta Manje’ broadband, ‘Shop Without Borders’ E-Commerce Promotions

…EPTC Managing Director Thulani Fakudze says the two promotions are a continued transformation to meet evolving needs of customers and digital economy.

As part of a vigorous strategic direction, the Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) on Wednesday launched two promotions aimed at meeting the evolving needs of customers and the digital economy.
The two promotions, “Connecta Manje!” Broadband and “Shop Without Borders!” E-Commerce Promotion were launched at the EPTC headquarters boardroom in Mbabane.
EPTC Managing Director Thulani Fakudze said the launch is not simply about promotions, but it was about EPTC’s continued transformation to meet the evolving needs of customers and the digital economy.
“EPTC is committed to becoming a more innovative, customer-focused, and digitally enabled organization. Our role extends beyond providing telecommunications and postal services. We are enabling communication, supporting businesses, connecting communities, and contributing to Eswatini’s economic development. Our focus is on leveraging infrastructure investments to create meaningful value for customers,” Fakudze said.
He said the ‘Connecta Manje! Broadband Promotion’ was answering the growing demand for connectivity.
“The way people learn, work, communicate, and conduct business has fundamentally changed. Reliable high-speed internet is now an essential service rather than a luxury.
Connectivity enables education, entrepreneurship, remote working, digital services, and economic participation,” Fakudze added.
He stated that EPTC continues to invest significantly in fibre infrastructure across the country with the objective being to expand access to high-speed broadband for households, students, SMEs, corporations, and government institutions.
“We are building the digital foundation that supports smart living and smart business. The Connecta Manje! campaign is designed to encourage greater adoption of fibre broadband services. We want more Emaswati to experience the benefits of reliable, high-speed connectivity. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to making digital opportunities more accessible. Infrastructure on its own does not create impact. Its true value is measured by how it improves the lives of our customers.” He added.
On the Shop Without Borders! E-Commerce Promotion, Fakudze said there is a rise in E-Commerce and consumer behaviour is changing rapidly.
“More customers are purchasing products online from local, regional, and international markets. This presents significant opportunities for businesses and consumers across Eswatini. As EPTC, we recognize that the future of postal services lies beyond traditional mail. Our role is increasingly focused on enabling commerce and facilitating the movement of goods within the digital economy. We are evolving our services to meet modern customer expectations,” Fakudze said.
He stated that the Shop Without Borders! campaign promotes Phutfumani service as a trusted e-commerce delivery solution.
“Through this service, customers can shop internationally with greater ease and confidence. We are simplifying the journey from online purchase to final delivery.
A key advancement is our collaboration with Ship-Hustle. This partnership enhances customer communication, shipment visibility, and delivery convenience.
Customers increasingly expect transparency and real-time information, and this collaboration helps us meet those expectations,” Fakudze said.
Fakudze added: “The future of postal services is not only about delivering parcels; it is about enabling commerce, supporting businesses, and enhancing customer experiences. The benefits to customers and business will be better connectivity, access to digital services and improved online experiences. For Students, it will be enhanced access to educational resources and better support for digital learning,”
Fakudze said benefits for SMEs and Businesses will be:
Improved connectivity.
Participation in e-commerce.
Access to broader markets.
More efficient business operations.
For the Economy
Greater digital inclusion.
Increased business participation.
Enhanced competitiveness.
Support for Eswatini’s digital transformation agenda.

He said these initiatives demonstrate EPTC’s commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and customer experience.
“We will continue investing in infrastructure, technology, and service improvements. Our focus remains firmly on delivering reliable, convenient, and customer-centred solutions. We are committed to ensuring that EPTC remains a key enabler of Eswatini’s digital future. It is my honour and privilege to officially launch EPTC’s Connecta Manje! Broadband Promotion and Shop Without Borders! E-Commerce Promotion. Together, let us connect more homes, empower more businesses, and build a stronger digital Eswatini. Connecta Manje! Shop Without Borders!,” Fakudze said in conclusion.
