Nothando Hlophe has released a single titled “Yebo” ahead of the release of her new album title “Nothando Hlophe LIVE in Soweto”. This was confirmed by Leserato Events’ Sphiwe Nxumalo.
The song is currently circulating on a number of radio stations in Eswatini and the Republic of South Africa, since last Thursday. Radio stations that have already played the song over the weekend are as follows:
- EBIS 1 (Eswatini)
- VOC FM (Eswatini)
- Nkomazi FM (Mpumalanga)
- Voice of Hope FM (Mpumalanga)
- K Radio (Mpumalanga)
- Kasi FM (Gauteng)
- Rise FM (Mpumalanga)
The song will be available on digital stores (iTunes, Google Play, Deezer, Amazon, Spotify) on Thursday the 1st November 2018.
The song is about thanking God for all the things he has done and thanking him in advance for all the good things that are still to happen in our lives. We thank him for our finances, our marriages, our children, etc, that are still to come.
It is worth remembering that the song was a crowd favourite at the recent launch held at Sibane Hotel on the 13th October where Nothando’s backing vocalist got forward to testify “I had been married for 8 years without a child when we recorded this song in Soweto early this year, we sang this song, I believed it, look at me now, I am expecting my first ever child.
Comments – Sphiwe Nxumalo
“We are excited about the release of the single and the feedback we have been receiving from the public on the song, it is definitely a great sign for the upcoming album. We have already received bold claims from one of the presenters saying this song is bigger than “khulula ugcobo” but that still remains to be seen.
The full album will be ready in mid-November and all those who bought tickets for the launch will receive their free copies as soon as it arrives, as promised”
