MTN Eswatini and Eswatini Building Society partnership on Mobile Money

Today MTN Eswatini and Eswatini Building Society officially launched ESCROW Account at Royal Villas. Through the ESCROW Account, MTN Mobile Money agents and other bulk disbursement agents can now deposit, withdraw and dispatch mobile money in real-time. This service undoubtedly guarantees customers both convenience and a more cost-effective way of transacting and enabling them to do a lot more. The Remarks were made by the Society’s Managing Director, Timothy Nhleko.

“At the Society, we listen to our customer needs and with this background, we continuously strive to exploit opportunities that make the life of our customers easier and convenient. Our partnership with MTN is an opportunity to reach out to our customers all over the country with this channel. We are constantly looking for opportunities to extend financial services and leverage on technology to make financial service more convenient. With MTN, we have found a partner we can work with to deliver our promise to our customers of creating wealth, said Dlamini during his speech.

The managing director further stated that they have made this a strategic priority to put customers at the center of their business operations. “It is what has come to be known as ‘customer-centricity’ and it is one of the pillars within our values and performance standards,” said Dlamini.

We have extended our footprint to 56 ATMs and 9 branches. These touch points are strategically located across the country and they are all accessible. Further to our known products and services we have augmented our offering by proving Mobile Services. Now customers can be able to cash out their Mobile Money at our ATMs anytime. They can be able to make transfers, check balances, buy electricity and airtime anywhere and anytime. For those who are registered for our Mobile Services can dial *800# to venue the menu services, said Dlamini.

The launch of the ESCROW Account will assist Mobile Money Agents to replenish their accounts in real time. They will be credited instantly upon depositing into the Escrow. This certainly adds value.
