Career opportunity: PRAE

PRAE is seeking a qualified and committed ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER reporting directly to Africa AD Agency. The position works towards increasing the profile of the Association through the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships between its members, organisations, corporate partners, educational institutions, government bodies, media and the general public. The job holder will protect the integrity of the Association through giving advice and recommendations to the Secretary General and Governing council that align to the Association’s Vision, Values and Strategy. The Administrator will directly supervise the Administrative Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
Communications: Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining public relations material related to the Association’s events and programmes including:

  • Prepare briefs, speeches, presentations and press releases as may be required
  • Initiate and maintain relations with the media for interviews, press conferences including
    responding to public inquiries for information
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with PRAE stakeholders
  • Participate in the preparation and organization of meetings, workshops, conferences and events.


Marketing: Responsible for managing, developing and maintaining marketing materials and database including:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and evaluate the marketing strategy to enhance the Association’s visibility, programs, events, membership recruitment and retention
  • Provide assessment of the marketing materials for the Association programmes and events including recommending appropriate strategies and delivery channels to the Secretary General, President & Governing Council members
  • Manage the development, production and delivery of the Association’s special programmes like the Awards, Networking events

information: Responsible for developing and managing digital and print content for the Association including:

  • Prepare and deliver digital and marketing material to increase awareness of the Association’s activities
  • Coordinate the preparation of print and digital literature, newsletters
  • Manage and maintain the PRAE website and all social sites
  • Design and implement membership survey

Career Opportunity:
PRAE ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER
Corporate: Responsible for developing and preparing annual reports and budgets including:

  • Identify and develop capacity, research and revenue generating opportunities including
    preparing related funding or budgeting submissions
  • Prepare monthly reports for the President, Secretary General and GC members
  • Write, edit and produce the PRAE Annual report with GC members where appropriate
  • Develop and administer the PRAE annual budget

Required Competencies:

  • University Degree in related field (Public Relations, Communications, Public Administration or Business Administration)
  • Three years’ work experience in Public Relations, Administration or Marketing
  • Supervisory skills are key to the function
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent technology skills (MS Office, MS Publisher and social media sites)
  • Demonstrate ability to manage projects under minimal supervision
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plan
  • Must have ability to respond to stakeholder needs, queries in a timely and committed manner
  • Sound judgment and attention to detail are key to this role
