The Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) joined with the Royal Science and Technology Park of Eswatini to launch their participation in the 41st global celebration of Work Tourism Month by announcing a competition for the youth of Eswatini to develop the country’s first ever Destination App.
With youth unemployment being one of the challenges, the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology along with RSTP have a vision to place Eswatini on the global map as a Competitive Technology and Innovative Hub.
This competition will capitalize on the creative talent of the youth, validate their dreams to pursue a lucrative career in the technology sector. This will also encourage their contribution towards generating innovative solutions to the country’s socio-economic challenges by harnessing the power of technology.
The Destination Eswatini App will afford local and international tourists the unique chance to experience and explore Eswatini’s captivating beauty and diverse tourism offering at the touch of a button.
The competition is officially open to young people between the age of 18 and 35. The closing date of entry is 4th of October and winner will be announced on 8th of October.
