Minister of Housing Board and Urban Development, Prince Simelane hands over new police station at Ngwenya.
The Minister of Housing Board and Urban Development, Prince Simelane yesterday Thursday, handed over the newly built police post to NATCOM William Dlamini. The Minister also officially opened the Police Station.
Present during the ceremony was Regional Administrator Tsandzile , Motshane Members of Parliament Robert Magongo and Ngwenya Town Board amongst others. The ceremony was entertained by police brass band and Ngwenya Village residents with different forms of entertainment.
“Ngwenya is one of our new, fast growing local authorities and this necessitated the post because the one at Ngwenya Border Post was too far. We welcome you with our jurisdiction and we hope that you are here to maintain stability and peace and keep our residents and business people safe at all times”, said Prince Simelane.
NATCOM Dlamini delivering his speech said, “ We are grateful to the Ministry of Housing and Ngwenya Town Board for this beautiful building. We can assure to the people of Ngwenya that we are here to maintain peace and stability. We assure you that in our budget request for the upcoming financial year, we will include needs of this post so that we are always able to serve you”.
