Curfew Lifted With Effect From Midnight 10 December 2021

Government lifts curfew with effect from midnight today. This was announced by the Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini through a press statement.

The adjusted COVID-19 restrictions are as follows;

1. There will be no longer be a curfew at any time of the day.

2. Most businesses return to normal operating hours as per their licenses; with the exception of discotheques and night clubs which remain closed.

3. Entertainment activities will be allowed only in open spaces and subject to COVID-19 precautions.

4. Night vigils, kufukama and cooking during funerals remain prohibited.

“Notwithstanding the rise in COVID-19 figures, it is encouraging to note that no COVID-19 deaths have been reported over the past 20 days.” Said the Premier.
